The Eino Roiha Foundation was founded on February 8, 2002 with the aim of promoting the arts, especially focusing on music therapy, music education, and musicology, and music performance research and the application of research findings in rehabilitation, pedagogy, and the development of practices within music professions.
The founding parties of the foundation are the University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences Ltd., the City of Jyväskylä, and local counsellor Kauko Sorjonen.
The Eino Roiha Foundation oversees the Eino Roiha Institute (ERI), and VIBRAC Skille-Lehikoinen Centre for Vibroacoustic Therapy and Research.
